What is Remote Backup?
The Remote Backup feature allows you to remotely or locally backup recordings from your recorder onto your personal computer.
Remote Backup Setup
Step 1. Run the Platinum Toolset application.
Step 2. Select "Remote Backup" under the Control Panel home menu.
Step 3. Select "Settings"
Step 4. Select the disk or hard drive you would like the recordings to be saved to. For this guide, we will select the C; drive.
Step 5. Once you have selected the drive. You will now select "Device" so that we can add your recorder to the program.
Step 6. Select "Add"
Step 7. You must now fill in the fields to add your device. If you do not know your recorder's information, we recommend you learn more here <-- insert link. Select "OK" when done.
Note: Device Name is an alias, it can be anything. Furthermore, you do not need to fill in FlowCtrl(KB/S).
Step 8. If successful, you will now see your device under the device list as shown below.
Step 9. You may now close out of settings by selecting "X".
Step 10. Select "Manual."
Step 11. The Manual Backup menu will now appear. If you successfully added your device, you should see your cameras.
Step 12. The start and end time refers to the time period of your recordings. If you need to change it, you may select correct it by overwriting the default dates.
Step 13. Select the cameras that you would like to backup the recordings for by simply clicking on them. If you are trying to select multiple devices at once, hold down Ctrl on your keyboard while clicking on multiple cameras to select more than one.
Step 14. Select "OK" when done
Step 15. You should now see the status of your backup on the main page. You have successfully backed up your cameras.
